The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen
CPD Programme
The Society provides a first rate pro-active and widely used Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme during the Spring and Autumn.
This is open to members and non members alike but the reduced charge available to members (£20 per seminar instead of £35) means in particular that Trainees and Solicitors within their first five years after qualifying can, if they join and use our CPD, effectively enjoy membership for nothing.
For this reason alone it is clearly cost effective for employers to pay for or reimburse subscriptions for those in the “starter” subscription brackets. Most CPD events last one hour and include a light lunch.
