An exciting opportunity has arisen within an Aberdeen based professional society, The Society of Advocates in Aberdeen for a part-time events coordinator and enthusiastic administrator providing support to the Management Committee. Expected to involve between at least 15-20 hours a week, the job is flexible; you can work remotely from home, although you would be asked to work at our historic Advocates Library premises (adjacent to Aberdeen sheriff court) one day a week. There will be the opportunity for overtime to cover events at the Library when held outwith core hours (eg occasionally at evenings or weekends). We are looking for a responsible Executive Assistant to perform administrative tasks in a well-organised and timely way. This is a busy and dynamic role where, in addition to traditional EA duties, the post holder will have the responsibility of promoting and arranging a variety of events within the Library. You will also be interacting proactively with the Society’s membership. Given part of your responsibilities would involve administering our small payroll, experience with SAGE software would be helpful. The successful candidate would be IT literate and have good communications skills. Applications (with accompanying CVs) are invited by emailing The Society at admin@socofadvocates.com by 5 November 2021.
